A Snapshot of Your Day Senior Controls Engineer responsible for providing technical support for the Gas Engines Business Unit in Fort Collins, including designing, validating, and commissioning control and monitoring systems for natural gas reciprocating compressors and engines.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Work as an integral part of a project technical team to provide control solutions for assigned controls retrofit projects, including HMI development, PLC code development, panel layout, parts specifications, internal testing and technical documentation.
Design and layout of the control cabinet or panel layout drawings. Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred.
Specify all components for the new control system; create and manage technical documentation and participate in design reviews.
Drive standardization of controls offerings and look for opportunities to drive efficiency.
Perform commissioning and training of monitoring and control systems.
What You Bring
BS in Engineering or related experience required. Solid control system knowledge and understanding of reciprocating engine and compressor theory with a minimum of 8-10 years of industry experience preferred.
Proficient in Allen Bradley RS Logix, Woodward GAP and National Instruments programming for engine controls applications.
Proficient in HMI programming applications including Allen Bradley Factory Talk View and Wonderware.
Experience with industrial requirements and standards (NEC, ISO, UL, IEC, ATEX, CE, CSA, etc.).
Communicates extremely well at all levels of the organization (both verbally and written) and has the ability to work remotely with minimal oversight.
Domestic travel required (approximately 25% annually).

The base salary range for this position based in Colorado is $110,000 – $145,000 and the annual incentive target is 10-15% of base salary. Specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
