This is a full-time position with the Abdul for Senate campaign, and is expected to conclude in August 2026, with potential to extend to November 2026. Deputy Finance Director will be paid a monthly salary of $8,000 per month, commensurate with experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION Abdul for Senate is seeking talented candidates to work as a Deputy Finance Director for the 2026 election cycle. We are looking for passionate, hardworking individuals who are committed to our mission of electing Abdul El‑Sayed our next U.S. Senator.

Role Overview The Deputy Finance Director is responsible for overseeing the events and donor relations. This will be a full-time position based in Ann Arbor, MI, although there is flexibility with remote work and a relocation timeline. This position offers compensation in the form of a monthly salary and healthcare benefits.

Other campaign needs as required

Qualifications (Required)

A minimum of 4-6 years of work experience in campaign finance is required

Must have transportation to attend events as needed; national event transportation will be provided

Proficiency with Excel and Google Drive

Willingness to work irregular hours, including some nights and weekends

Superior written and verbal communication skills

Ability to learn new skills and take on new challenges, with a desire to learn and a willingness to ask questions

Ability to balance between competing priorities in a fast‑paced, demanding environment while maintaining exceptional organization and attention to detail

Commitment to electing Abdul El‑Sayed to the U.S. Senate

Ability to demonstrate multicultural competence – the awareness, knowledge and skills needed to work with others who are culturally different from self in meaningful, relevant and productive ways

Personal and professional commitment to promoting and investing in cross-cultural skills and awareness related to individuals from broad backgrounds, races, ethnicities, religions, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and disability

Qualifications (Preferred)

Digital Fundraising

Experience directly managing/staffing a principal is a significant plus

Previous experience working in Michigan is a significant plus

Previous experience fundraising for statewide elections is a significant plus
