We are seeking an LTAMDS (Lower Tier Missile Defense Sensor)

Principal Program Quality Engineer

(PQE) to serve within Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) supporting U.S and/or foreign programs within the portfolio at our Andover Massachusetts locations. Responsibilities include promoting and executing with a strong quality mindset, practices, knowledge sharing, and collaboration. This individual will assist in implementation of Mission Area strategic quality improvements across contracts within the Radar IPT (Integrated Product Team).

This role will work to ensure the effective implementation of Quality and Mission Assurance requirements of the programs through the IPT, and interface with U.S. Government Customers, Foreign Customers, Suppliers, and our internal Raytheon Quality team. The LTAMDS portfolio includes contractual scope in the design and development, production, and sustainment product phases. The ideal candidate will have a dynamic mindset, the ability to influence across teams, and offer creative results to solve complex problems.

This position is an onsite role in Andover, Massachusetts.

What You Will Do

Become a Quality POC for the Radar Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), interfacing across program quality teams and programs assisting technical quality and financial performance, and compliance to Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements.

Interface with the program quality teams, programs, customers, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), overseeing technical quality and financial performance, and compliance to Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements.

Closely interface with external and internal customers and key partners to establish effective relationships.

Must have the ability to manage and impact across multiple levels of stakeholders, as it is vital to the success of this role.

Responsible for;

Quality of delivered products and services to our customers, stakeholders of quality risks, uncertainties and opportunities, key team members in resolution of customer expectations and relationships related to Mission Assurance and Quality.

Developing and implementing strategic and tactical Mission Assurance plans that will closely affect the programs’ implementation and influence.

Improving processes or systems using significant conceptual reasoning and interpretation skills. Problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined, and information is typically difficult to obtain.

Assuring inclusion of quality requirements, planning, and consistency for program proposals and subsequent management of the quality budget.

Monitor / lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA.

Driving initiatives to reduce program costs mitigating Program Risks and capturing Opportunity.

Generation of new Cost of Quality (CoQ), Lead Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma / Lean Initiatives, CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) projects to reduce costs on the program.

Aid implementation of APQP (AS9145) as applicable.

Drive early engagement, continuous improvement and lessons learned for supply base, operations, and engineering.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight (8) years of engineering experience.

Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.

Working experience with performance to cost, schedule, and technical performance including Cost Accounting Methodologies (Earned Value).

Working experience in providing technical program guidance for manufacturing and/or design processes.

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualification We Prefer

Six Sigma, Lean, Raytheon CORE, or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification.

Active U.S. security clearance.

Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification. ... ...
