Quantum Space
Who We’re Looking For
Quantum Space is redefining mobility and autonomy in cislunar and geostationary space. Our Ranger spacecraft deliver high delta-V and on‑orbit maneuverability that enable customers to access, operate, and persist in orbits previously out of reach. We’re building the infrastructure, vehicles, and operational expertise that connect and protect assets across the Earth–Moon system.
Quantum Space is seeking a hands‑on Buyer to own our purchasing system while also driving shipping, receiving, and incoming hardware inspection for spacecraft development and manufacturing. This role works directly with engineers, quality, and operations to ensure critical flight hardware is purchased correctly, delivered on time, and received with rigor and diligence.
This is a hardware‑forward role and is ideal for someone who wants to be close to parts, vendors, and engineers, not just spreadsheets.
Where You’ll Make an Impact
Own the end‑to‑end purchasing process that directly supports spacecraft development and manufacturing
Ensure engineers have the right parts, materials, and services on time to meet aggressive build and test schedules
Act as the primary interface between Quantum Space and its vendors, helping keep programs moving without supply chain surprises
Manage shipping and receiving process for hardware and items that are purchased
Improve purchasing processes, documentation, and vendor coordination as the company scales
What It Takes
3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations
Experience owning a purchasing or ERP system and managing purchase orders end to end
Ability to work closely with engineers to translate technical requirements into accurate purchases
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast‑paced, hardware‑driven environment
Clear and professional communication skills with both internal stakeholders and external vendors
Nice To Have
Experience in aerospace, space, defense, or other complex hardware manufacturing environments
Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, or spacecraft components and BOMs
Experience supporting R&D, prototype builds, or low‑rate production
Background working at a startup or small, fast‑moving engineering company
Experience with supplier onboarding and vendor performance tracking
What You’ll Get
Ownership – Own and operate the purchasing system and procurement processes that support spacecraft development and manufacturing
Impact – Enable engineers and programs to execute on schedule by ensuring critical components, materials, and services are sourced reliably and on time
Collaboration – Work directly with engineers, manufacturing, and operations to solve real supply chain challenges tied to flight hardware
Growth – Expand your expertise in aerospace procurement, vendor management, and hardware‑driven supply chain operations as the company scales
Compensation – Competitive salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, generous leave, HSA, 401(k) matching, and equity sharing
Additional Requirements To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including ITAR, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
