Under the direction of the AVP of Retail, the Branch Manager oversees operations, sales, and service at Harvard FCU branches. As the primary community contact and brand ambassador, the Branch Manager leads branch staff, fostering high-quality service, efficient operations, and effective sales of Harvard FCU products and services.

Lead by example by delivering exceptional service to members, and internal teams.

Foster a culture of responsiveness, empathy, and thorough follow-through.

Ensure operational processes reflect the warmth and attentiveness members expect.

Promote seamless, efficient, and supportive internal service interactions.

Ensure all members have access to our services.

Empathetic and Solution-Oriented Support

Reinforce a culture of care through empathetic, efficient team interactions.

Operational Oversight

Manage all branch operations: scheduling, opening/closing, daily balancing, security, and audits.

Ensure consistent, courteous service excellence.

Driving Results

Grow deposits and drive membership growth by engaging with existing members, sourcing leads, and building new business relationships.

Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and internal policies.

Achieve sales goals through strategic initiatives and member engagement.

Participate in performance meetings and communicate effectively with staff via daily huddles and monthly meetings.

Sales Focus

Develop and implement sales strategies to promote Harvard FCU products.

Monitor performance, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions.

Train and mentor staff on sales techniques and member engagement.

Collaborate with marketing to support campaigns and retain existing members.

Community Engagement

Represent Harvard FCU in the community and at networking events.

Actively promote membership growth and increase visibility within partner organizations and local communities.

Maintain strong relationships with affiliate personnel and conduct on-site visits.

Support outreach efforts including benefit fairs, seminars, and educational programs.

Business Prospecting and Floating

Identify and develop new business opportunities to support membership growth.

Float to other branches as needed to maintain service standards.

Business Partner Collaboration

Work with department managers to align strategies and initiatives.

Know Your Business: Educate & Empower

Apply credit union expertise to drive success.

Foster teamwork, inclusion, and professional development.

Communicate clearly to ensure alignment and growth

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

3+ years’ relevant work experience

Additional Qualifications and Skills:

Strong

understanding of federal and state banking regulations and compliance.

problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Proven experience in a leadership role within a financial institution.

Notary Public registration required (or obtained within 90 days of hire).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, business development, sales and training skills necessary.

Ability to lead and motivate a team.

Must display a high level of comfort and sensitivity working within the diverse and multicultural atmosphere.

Position requires local area travel to various affiliate locations.

Additional Information

Standard Hours/Schedule:

35 hours per week

Branch Operation Hours: Monday-Friday, Typical Hours are 8:15-4:45

One Saturday a month on average 8:00-12:30

Occasional after-hours meetings

Work Format Details This position has been determined by school or unit leaders that all duties and responsibilities must be performed at a Harvard or Harvard-designated location.
