As an advanced data scientist on our National Cyber team, you will support the research and development of new cyber analytic capabilities that help protect and defend U.S. networks and critical information systems. Your work will contribute to knowledge of how cyber‑attacks work, how vulnerabilities are exploited, and how hostile cyber actors operate. You will experiment, prototype, and implement future cyber capabilities at large scale.

Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of a wide variety of systems and networks, including high‑volume, high‑availability systems, and is a self‑starter focused on results. Your exceptional skill set will create useful and actionable insight for the customer through the development of analytic solutions for analytic use cases throughout the project. You will collaborate with the Analytics Research team to identify platform enhancements that support forward‑looking analytics.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining

3+ years of experience with statistical and general‑purpose programming languages for data analysis

Experience working with tools, techniques, and processes used by cyber threat actors to conduct cyber attacks

Experience with the Databricks intelligence platform

Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, or natural language processing

Secret clearance

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

Experience developing analytic tools, processes, and governance for storing, modeling, capturing, and delivering data to the client’s enterprise

Experience with computational notebook software such as Zeppelin or Jupyter

Experience with visual analytics applied to computational analytics results

Experience with database querying such as SQL

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Certification

CompTIA Security+ Cybersecurity Certification

Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Compensation Projected compensation range: $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary determined by location, experience, skills, and contract requirements. Posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.

Work Model
