DISPENSING AUDIOLOGIST
Overview Fast paced Otolaryngology practice looking for one Certified Audiologist in Rhode Island. 3-4 years of diagnostic testing experience but will consider new graduates as well. This is a staff position responsible for patient treatment as well as diagnostic testing to evaluate hearing loss and other related conditions. Our Audiologist must be committed to patient hearing health and display a positive attitude in a busy working environment.
Skills Required
Strong organization and communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a wide range of patients, colleagues
Medical insurance and CPT and ICD-10-CM coding experience a plus.
Strong patient service orientation
The ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of patients
Must be able and willing to generate referrals from patients to physicians
The ability to work and interact professionally with patients, physicians and team members
Must be able to problem solve and manage the day-to-day operations of the practice independently
Ability to adapt to EMR documentation requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide testing, diagnostic evaluations, counseling, and patient care.
Attend to both scheduled and walk-in patients.
Report patient test results to originating referral source or appropriate staff member for tracking and documentation.
Maintain all patient records and charts as specified by practice management.
Sell hearing aids and accessories including batteries, special products, or any other product available through practice.
Support operations by conducting quality control analysis of incoming hearing aids and maintenance of test areas, equipment and supplies.
On an ongoing basis, review practice procedures, processes and systems, and recommend improvements as necessary.
Achieve the practice monthly and annual goals set by practice administration.
Perform all services and duties in a manner consistent with policies, procedures, processes, and quality standards.
Initiate, develop and support marketing activities required to grow and sustain the patient base
Assist with practice organization and efficient operations.
Continue to develop professionally through continuing education, and maintain current with professional and practice developments with professional publications and other resources.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
Must be able to maintain a high level of concentration even with numerous interruptions.
Must be able to spend a minimum of 8 (full time position) hours a day providing patient care.
Qualifications We Are Interested In Include
Professional Qualification
Masters in Audiology or AuD Degree
3-4 years hearing aid dispensing experience
Active and current hearing aid dispensing license
