Metal Roofing Systems is hiring: Warehouse Associate in Pinellas Park

The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for general warehouse duties including inventory control, loss prevention, and shipping/receiving documentation. This position also serves as a backup driver, filling in as needed for deliveries. Candidates must be detail-oriented, efficient, and possess a clean driving record.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the rotation of inventory within the warehouse by preparing shipments, staging and verifying incoming material, and using powered industrial equipment (forklift, hand-crane, pallet jack, shrink wrap machine, etc.)
• Load and unload goods to and from designated storage areas such as racks, shelves, or vehicles in an organized and efficient manner
• Operate company vehicles to make local or regional deliveries as a backup driver when required
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of delivery logs and shipping documentation
• Notify managers of any major maintenance issues encountered
• Properly use Timekeeping App to ensure accurate time tracking
• Demonstrate thorough understanding and compliance with the company’s safe lifting practices and standard operating procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety procedures are upheld at all times
• Obtain and maintain forklift certification

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid Class A driver’s license with a clean driving record
• 1+ years of prior warehouse and forklift experience
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude
• Must pass a background check, motor vehicle check, and drug test
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to operate GPS, electric lifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
• Reliable, dependable, and resourceful
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to represent the company professionally during deliveries
