Pharmacy Fill Technician Pay:
$21-$22 an hr | Bi-weekly Job Type:
Onsite in Des Plaines, IL 60018 Shift Options: 10pm-630am Pharmacy Fill Technician Overview: The Pharmacy Fill Technician accurately prepares prescriptions, including the careful picking, labeling, scanning, and final preparation of prescriptions for the pharmacist's verification. Additionally, they assist in maintaining a well-organized workspace and ensure compliance with regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities: Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (pre-pack racks) Accuracy check of final preparation before presenting to the pharmacist Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently and in a timely and prioritized manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed during low-volume times Package materials and products manually Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA Maintain clean/organized workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed each shift Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs
