About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced
Surety Director
with a strong background in servicing clients, working closely with underwriters, and providing a high level of customer service daily. As the Surety Director, you will manage the contract and commercial surety program while driving new business to grow the division. You’ll work with numerous growth leaders within the organization, driving organic revenue and continually improving departmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Act as the main point of contact for assigned surety clients, ensuring proactive communication and long-term relationship development.
Develop a strategic operating plan for the Surety practice, aligning goals with company priorities and profitability targets.
Drive organic revenue through thoughtful prospecting.
Conduct regular stewardship meetings to review bond programs, financial updates, market conditions, and risk mitigation strategies.
Establish service standards, best practices, workflows, KPIs, and champion process improvement and technology adoption.
Understand client operations, financial performance, and strategic goals to provide tailored surety recommendations.
Recruit, train, coach, mentor, and evaluate team members.
Attend company‑sponsored seminars and educational activities necessary to maintain product knowledge and underwriting expertise.
Qualifications:
10+ years’ experience in surety or construction‑related financial services (agency, carrier, brokerage, or contractor finance)
Knowledge and skills in effective use of account management systems Tinubu (SurePath) and EPIC
Strong sales and financial acumen (P&L management); strategic thinking with agility to pivot priorities.
