Summary The Vice President of Growth & Physician Strategies is responsible for the overall alignment and integration of the enterprise business strategy. The role develops, executes, and oversees processes in accordance with the organization’s vision, strategy, and direction. The Vice President of Growth & Physician Strategies executes plans to ensure synergies with business strategies, internal and external branding and messaging, legislative priorities, and community support. Support adherence to the organization’s compliance and ethics program, policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct. The VP is the senior leader responsible for driving the organization’s overall growth agenda, integrating strategic referral growth, physician engagement, medical staff development, and physician recruitment strategy into one cohesive approach. This executive ensures that strategies, operations, analytics, and recruitment planning work together to attract, retain, and expand physician referrals. Through this coordinated, data-driven lens, the VP strengthens alignment, enhances the physician experience, and ensures new provider capacity directly supports clinical priorities and service line strategy. This role oversees end-to-end referral performance—including referral pathways, communication loops, operational responsiveness, leakage/keepage analysis, and reporting—ensuring the organization removes barriers, accelerates access, and delivers measurable improvements in volume and relationships. The Vice President will also work with system executives to balance the prioritization of searches, subspecialty and practice-location needs, and workforce planning with the organization’s broader growth and access objectives. A key responsibility is leading the development and execution of actionable growth strategies grounded in data, market intelligence, competitive insights, clinical capacity, and emerging opportunities. The VP partners closely with strategy, planning, operations, marketing, and medical leadership to ensure enterprise-wide alignment around a unified growth agenda. This role is both strategic and operational: a builder of the vision, a shaper of culture, and a leader of people—responsible for developing a high-performing team that consistently delivers results in today’s rapidly changing healthcare landscape.
Education
Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health Administration, or other related field strongly preferred.
Experience
7 years of progressive experience in healthcare growth, business development, physician relations, or strategic planning. Minimum 3 years of healthcare management/sales management or leadership experience.
Experience with physician recruitment, medical staff development, or workforce strategy preferred. Clinical experience – a plus.
Skills
Demonstrated expertise in data analytics, CRM/PRM platforms, and referral performance systems.
