Join our team at Fall River Healthcare! We are looking for an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to help our growing organization and support our commitment to family‑like care.

This role will assist the Director of Nursing Services in planning, organizing, developing, and managing day‑to‑day functions of the Nursing Services Department in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations governing long‑term care facilities, as directed by the Administrator.

What You Will Do

Participate in developing, maintaining, and periodically updating written nursing policies, procedures, reference materials, manuals, objectives, and philosophies.

Provide general orientation, mandatory in‑services, continuing education, and other training to meet all department and facility needs and regulatory requirements.

Determine and assess facility education needs; plan, develop, and implement training.

Assist in developing and implementing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services.

Ensure that all nursing services personnel are performing their respective duties.

Participate in surveys and inspections by government agencies; implement plans of action to correct deficiencies.

Review nurses’ notes to ensure proper documentation is maintained regarding residents’ treatment, medications, and conditions.

Report problematic areas to the Director of Nursing Services and assist in developing corrective actions.

Preferred Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing, currently licensed by the state.

Strong verbal and communication skills with the ability to demonstrate organizational and educational skills.

Previous experience in a hospital, long‑term care facility, or other healthcare‑related facility.

Long‑term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.

Knowledge of general, rehabilitative, and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long‑term care.

Completion of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing.

Basic computer skills.
