Job Overview The Scrum Master is responsible for practicing, promoting, and reinforcing an Agile mindset and behaviors while coaching, mentoring, and inspiring teams on Agile principles, values, and practices. This role involves independently leading the application of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban across one or more teams, while role‑modeling leadership behaviors aligned with the organization.

The Scrum Master will guide Agile teams toward achieving objectives, KPIs, and delivery commitments by enabling effective planning, execution, and continuous improvement. This role requires strong facilitation, communication, and servant leadership skills to foster collaboration, transparency, and high‑performing team dynamics.

The Scrum Master will work closely with team members, stakeholders, and leadership to remove impediments, manage risks, support scaled Agile planning activities, and increase overall Agile maturity across teams. This role may also function in a Scrum‑of‑Scrums capacity, coordinating work across multiple teams or domains.

Key Responsibilities

Promote and reinforce Agile mindset, principles, values, and practices

Independently lead Scrum or Kanban practices for multiple teams

Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and release planning

Enable progress toward objectives, KPIs, and delivery commitments

Identify opportunities to improve Agile performance, customer value, and quality

Remove impediments, manage risks, resolve conflicts, and recommend solutions

Encourage open communication and strong collaboration among team members and stakeholders

Build effective partnerships across technical and business teams

Partner with leadership on scaled planning activities and Agile ceremonies

Actively participate in and contribute to the Agile Community

Support teams with varying levels of Agile maturity and help increase overall maturity

Perform Scrum‑of‑Scrums responsibilities when required

Perform other duties as assigned

Required / Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred

3+ years of experience in a Scrum Master or similar Agile role

Experience delivering epics, releases, and versions using Agile methodologies

Hands‑on experience facilitating Agile techniques such as burndowns, retrospectives, and user story refinement

Programming or development experience preferred

Experience implementing Agile best practices and standards

Proven ability to lead, coach, and influence teams while earning trust

Strong servant leadership skills in an Agile environment
