Our client, a private university in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Project Manager to support Health Data Informatics and Research initiatives within the medical enterprise. This role will plan, coordinate, and deliver clinical research data projects, working across diverse stakeholders including project partners, clinical researchers, and data scientists. The Project Manager will also provide program support for BioData Catalyst and related portfolio activities in a matrixed environment. Key Responsibilities Support planning, execution, reporting, and closeout phases to achieve program strategies, milestones, and deliverables. Coordinate and oversee project management activities across Health Data Informatics & Research. Ensure compliance with project management, contracting, purchasing, and fiscal policies. Prepare and deliver program reports (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual). Manage meetings including scheduling, agendas, minutes, and action item tracking for committees, panels, scrum teams, and reviews. Communicate effectively with senior leadership and compose business and scientific documentation. Maintain consistent project status communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge & Experience Experience within a Healthcare IT PMO. Bachelors degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years project management experience in health informatics. Strong technical project management skills, including business case development and ROI analysis. Excellent attention to detail with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Experience with electronic data capture systems (including EMRs). Knowledge of research regulations, formal PM methodologies, and requirements gathering/analysis.

Preferred Qualifications Understanding of clinical trials and related processes. Experience managing research budgets. Background in clinical data research projects and/or academic medical environments. Familiarity with HL7 CDA and/or FHIR standards.

Tools & Skills

Proven ability to lead multiple projects and collaborate with diverse stakeholders (faculty, leadership, staff). Experience managing cross-functional teams (technical, clinical, analytics). Expertise in cross-platform research data acquisition and management. Highly organized with advanced proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, Teams, and Visio. Experience in cloud or virtual data environments governed by IRB and HIPAA requirements.>

Deep understanding of EMR, research, and public health workflows related to data exchange. Knowledge of data organization, cataloging, analytics, and ingestion/curation standards.

Bonus Skills

Familiarity with ICD, CPT, LOINC, MedDRA, OMOP, OHDSI, or REDCap. Experience with Cerner EMR and AWS environments.
