We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to design digital and mixed‑signal PCBs for our Q‑SYS networked audio/video product lines. The role includes component selection, schematic capture, circuit modeling, PCB layout, prototype development, debugging, EMC/regulatory compliance, and thorough testing and validation.

Location:

Ft. Wayne, IN – minimal domestic travel required.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Design and implement digital and mixed‑signal circuits for professional audio/video products.

Lead end‑to‑end PCB design: component selection, schematic design, PCB layout, hardware documentation release, board bring‑up, testing, debugging, and system integration.

Perform circuit and signal/power‑integrity simulations.

Evaluate audio performance of components and systems.

Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

Create and document test plans for design qualification.

Carry out design verification and validation activities, documenting detailed findings in qualification reports.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education & Qualifications Minimum Education:

High School Graduate.

Preferred Education:

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

Experience:

4+ years designing, troubleshooting, and testing digital and mixed‑signal circuits for the audio/video market.

Experience with CAD tools for schematic entry and layout (Altium preferred).

Hands‑on proficiency with oscilloscope, DMM, protocol analyzers, and Audio Precision.

Knowledge of microprocessor‑based embedded systems.

Familiarity with standard interfaces such as Ethernet, I2C, SPI, I2S, PCIe, USB, etc.

Experience implementing techniques for optimal signal and power integrity.

Experience generating and releasing hardware documentation (BOM, Gerbers).

Exceptional analytical and creative problem‑solving skills.

Experience with simulation tools (HyperLynx, SPICE) preferred.

Knowledge of regulatory compliance (UL, FCC, CE) a plus.

Experience working with offshore ODM and contract manufacturers a plus.

Travel Requirements

1–20% travel.

Compensation Salary range: $66,500 to $119,700, adjusted based on experience and location. Acuity offers benefits including health care, dental, vision, 401(k), and potential commissions/incentive compensation.
