IP Docket Specialist (Chicago – Hybrid)
Base pay range: $65,000.00–$78,000.00 per year. What You Will Do
Manage all docketing activities related to Intellectual Property matters, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights. Use IP‑specific software (such as CPi) to accurately calendar and track deadlines for domestic and international IP filings. Generate customized docket reports for attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff as requested. Follow up with legal teams on upcoming docket deadlines and ensure timely clearance of completed items. Oversee and execute projects related to docketing improvements or updates. Ensure strict adherence to internal policies and procedures regarding docketing practices. What You Will Need
Associate’s degree or higher preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. 3–5 years of IP docketing experience in a law firm or corporate setting preferred. Deep knowledge of U.S. and international patent and trademark procedures. Familiarity with online IP databases and systems such as PAIR, ePCT, TSDR, etc. Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team‑oriented mindset. Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in a fast‑paced environment. Software & Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with CPi docketing software strongly preferred. Benefits
