Overview LMI is seeking a technology focused, business-minded attorney with commercial technology and government contracting experience to join its dynamic Law Department at a pivotal moment in our business. This position will report to LMI's General Counsel and will serve as the primary legal advisor and deal expert to our CTO organization responsible for developing and bringing commercial technology solutions to the federal marketplace that drive revenue growth and serve critical federal missions.
Responsibilities
Providing legal guidance to CTO and sales organizations to develop strategies to drive technology business forward
Negotiating and drafting contracts and license agreements with private-sector partners and federal clients, including SAAS agreements, technology licenses, IP agreements, and channel partner agreements
Advising on technology product development, intellectual property, compliance, data rights, and related legal considerations regarding LMI's technology solutions
Advising on OTAs, CRADAs, SBIR/STTR programs, or other non-traditional procurement mechanisms within the federal space
Advising on compliance issues including cybersecurity, supply chain requirements, domestic sourcing preferences, data rights, IP protection, and pricing rules
Monitoring and implementing legal and regulatory developments impacting government procurement of emerging technology
Understanding and advising on LMI's relationship with Federal Government customers and providing advice and counsel to support LMI's business objectives
Qualifications Required Qualifications
JD from accredited law school and membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar association
At least 5-years' experience
Experience drafting technology and intellectual property agreements
Experience advising on commercial technology offerings, software licensing, SaaS, hardware, data rights, or IP considerations in government contracting
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with emerging technology markets (AI/ML, cloud, cybersecurity, sensors, autonomy, etc.)
Knowledge of cybersecurity requirements such as FedRAMP, CMMC, or ITAR/EAR
Prior experience supporting a fast-paced growth-oriented business
Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret level security clearance
