Job Duties
Operate all equipment Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler Prepare product Receive and process telephone orders Take inventory and complete associated paperwork Clean equipment and facility approximately daily Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication Skills
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions. Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions & Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator). Must be able to make correct monetary change. Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders. Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed. Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work Conditions
Exposure
to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks; in‑store temperatures ranging from 36° in the cooler to 90° and above in some areas. Fumes from food odors, exposure to cornmeal dust, cramped quarters including the walk‑in cooler, hot surfaces/tools from ovens up to 500° or higher, and sharp edges or moving mechanical parts. Sensing
requires talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments
include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions. Physical Demands

STANDING
– Most tasks performed from a standing position; walking surfaces include ceramic tile or brick with linoleum in some areas; work‑surface heights between 36″ and 48″. WALKING
– Short distances for short durations. SITTING
– Paperwork normally completed at a desk or table. LIFTING
– Bulk product deliveries (caseloads up to 50 pounds, dimensions up to 3 × 1.5 feet) unloaded with a hand truck and stacked on shelves up to 72″ high. CARRYING
– Large cans (≈3 lb 7 oz), pizza sauce (≈30 lb), trays of dough (≈12 lb each, carried three at a time). PUSHING
– Transferring trays on dollies; a stack of 24″–30″ requiring up to 7.5 lb force. CLIMBING
– Occasionally navigate stairs or a ladder to change signs, wash walls, or perform maintenance. STOOPING/BENDING
– Forward bending for 30 – 45 seconds at the pizza‑assembly station and at the front counter; toe room present, but no floor‑to‑knee flex. CROUCHING/SQUATTING
– Performed occasionally to stack shelves or clean low areas.
Additional Information
REACHING
– Workers reach above and below various heights; occasionally above 72″ to operate ovens, change signs, lift, and lower objects from shelves. Workers reach down to scoop cornmeal or wash dishes. HAND TASKS
– Continuous eye‑hand coordination; frequent use of forearms and wrists to shape dough, manipulate a pizza peel, use a rolling cutter, or pinch cardboard pizza boxes. Workers must grasp cans, phones, pizza cutters, peels, and boxes. MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, AND WORK AIDS
– Use of pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and peel.
Delivery Duties
Deliver product by car to customers’ doors; deliver flyers and door hangers. Require a valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and an insured vehicle. Navigate adverse terrain, multi‑story buildings, and private homes while carrying product. Make multiple deliveries per shift, traveling between the store and vehicle, and from vehicle to customer location.
