What you’ll be doing Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Governance
Define and maintain enterprise technology architecture, standards, roadmaps, and reference models across the organization.
Lead architecture review boards and govern adherence to architectural principles, cloud best practices, and cybersecurity standards.
Align architectural decisions with enterprise strategy, operational efficiency goals, and regulatory/compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR, data residency for insurance).
Cloud Architecture (Azure & AWS)
Design and oversee hybrid cloud and multi‑cloud architectures leveraging Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Architect solutions using cloud-native services such as:
Azure: Functions, Logic Apps, APIM, Event Grid, Service Bus, Azure SQL, AKS, Synapse, ADF
AWS: Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, RDS, EKS, Step Functions
Drive cloud modernization initiatives, including legacy application re‑platforming, containerization, serverless patterns, and infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC).
Integration & API Architecture
Develop enterprise integration strategies using modern interfaces including REST, GraphQL, event‑driven architecture, and microservices.
Lead the design and governance of enterprise integration platforms (e.g., Azure API Management, Camel, SnapLogic, Boomi, or similar).
Establish standards for API design, versioning, security, reusable services, and data movement across core insurance systems.
Architect real‑time and asynchronous integration patterns supporting global operations and high‑volume transactional systems.
UI / UX Architecture
Provide guidance on modern UI frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Blazor) and set enterprise standards for front‑end development.
Partner with design teams to ensure consistent, intuitive, responsive interfaces across underwriting, claims, actuarial, and customer‑facing portals.
Promote modular front‑end architecture, micro‑frontends, and reusable UI components.
Workflow & Automation Architecture
Architect enterprise workflow solutions using platforms such as n8n, Power Automate, Appian, or similar tools.
Define workflow orchestration patterns, business rule engines, case management models, and automation frameworks.
Lead initiatives to digitize manual processes, streamline underwriting/claims operations, and deliver straight‑through processing.
Enterprise Data Architecture (Supporting)
Influence and collaborate on data architecture, including data lakes, reporting pipelines, MDM, and data governance.
Promote data accessibility through well‑architected APIs, event streams, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
Act as a trusted advisor to CIO, division managers, and business domain leaders.
Mentor engineering teams and provide guidance on architectural decisions, tooling, DevOps, and best practices.
Lead technical assessments, RFP selections, cloud/security reviews, and POC evaluations.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
10+ years of experience in software engineering or architecture, with at least 5 years as an Enterprise Architect or senior solution architect.
Deep expertise in Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
Strong experience with enterprise integration, API design, and event‑driven systems.
Hands‑on knowledge of modern UI development frameworks.
Expertise in workflow automation/orchestration platforms.
Proven experience architecting solutions in regulated, global enterprises—preferably in commercial insurance, financial services, or similar industries.
Strong understanding of security architecture, identity and access management (IAM), data protection, and cloud governance.
Preferred Skills
Experience with underwriting, claims, policy administration, billing or rating platforms.
Certifications:
Azure Solutions Architect Expert
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
TOGAF, SAFe Architect, or similar frameworks.
Knowledge of DevOps pipelines, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, Kubernetes.
Familiarity with AI/ML services in cloud ecosystems, intelligent document processing, and automation.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication and ability to translate complex technology concepts into clear business language.
Strong leadership, influence, and collaboration skills across global teams.
Ability to work in fast‑paced environments, manage ambiguity, and drive architecture decisions with clarity and confidence.
Salary Range:
$165,000 – $175,000. Actual compensation will depend on location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
