Description Leidos currently has a need for a SECRET cleared CBRNE Field Service Technician opening that will support the Security Engineering Program (SEP) program in Washington, DC.

The CBRNE Field Service Technician will serve as the second shift maintenance technician for a multimedia environmental sampling operation charged with installation, maintenance and calibration of vapor and particulate monitoring equipment. The technician will perform other maintenance related work at various locations within the National Capital Region, diagnosing and repairing electronic malfunctions, removing and replacing unserviceable equipment, troubleshooting faulty tools, and conducting confidence tests to ensure proper operation. The technician will also assist with system sampling, identification, communication, and operational data assessment.

Second Shift: Monday‑Friday 2pm to 10pm. Location: Washington, DC.

Desired Experience

Past military experience working with Chemical, Biological, and Radiological equipment (plus).

Basic knowledge of chemistry and chemical processes with CBRNE experience (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Explosive) (preferred).

Emergency Response background with HAZWOPER Certification (preferred).

Primary Responsibilities

Apply knowledge of operation, capabilities, and limitations of equipment and systems.

Use ingenuity in shop and trade practices to solve operating and repair problems.

Analyze daily work reports, identify problems, interpret procedures, and problem‑solve to positive effect.

Maintain work records; prepare clear and concise reports.

Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Learn and observe all appropriate safety precautions, including OSHA General Industry Safety Orders, Respiratory Protection Program, and Safety Directives.

Basic Qualifications

High School diploma with 2+ years’ experience.

Active Secret security clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

U.S. citizen.

Ability to follow written and oral instructions with minimal supervision.

Successful completion of a medical screening exam.

Independent and team‑oriented work capabilities.

Valid driver’s license or ability to meet transportation requirements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Prior laboratory experience.

Hands‑on technical experience in mechanical, electrical, or basic sciences.

Basic networking experience.

Flexible availability (on call, shift work, weekends, and holidays as needed).

Preferred Qualifications

Pay Range $50,700.00 - $91,650.00 (general guideline only; not a guarantee of compensation).
