Overview:
BioPhase is seeking a Scientist with experience developing and qualifying target binding and cell-based potency assays for biologics. This is a hands‑on role supporting late‑stage research and CMC development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in potency assay design, method qualification, and GMP‑readiness.
Responsibilities
Develop and qualify target engagement and cell‑based potency assays for biologics.
Support assay transfer to CDMOs for release, stability, and characterization testing.
Maintain and bank cell lines needed for assay development.
Identify and manage key reagents and materials.
Author or review protocols, reports, and qualification documents.
Review potency data for lot release and stability, assist with investigations and OOS/OOT analysis.
Qualifications
MS or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
5+ years of industry experience in potency assay development.
Hands‑on experience with recombinant and cell‑based potency assays.
Proficiency with PRISM, Softmax Pro, or similar data analysis software.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
Experience with CDMOs and regulatory submissions.
Familiarity with impurity testing (HCP, DNA, Protein A).
