RN - Cardiology ICU – Hartford Hospital Location:

Permanent night shift, every other weekend and holiday.

We invite you to become part of Connecticut’s most comprehensive healthcare network as an ICU Registered Nurse (RN). Hartford Hospital is one of the largest and most respected teaching hospitals in New England, a Level 1 Trauma Center, and home to the largest robotic surgery center in the Northeast.

Bliss 10i is a twelve‑bed unit within Hartford HealthCare’s Heart and Vascular Institute. The patient population primarily consists of myocardial infarctions, cardiogenic shock, advanced heart failure, and post‑cardiac arrest. Registered Nurses are trained in the use of specialized equipment such as transvenous pacemakers, intra‑aortic balloon pumps, temporary ventricular assist devices, pulmonary artery catheters, and targeted temperature management.

Job Summary In critical care, our RNs provide expertise at the bedside and deliver high‑quality care with compassion. The unit works closely with the Cardiac Catheterization lab, Electrophysiology department, and Cardiovascular Surgical Team, relying on a team‑based mentality to achieve the best outcomes.

Qualifications

Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN required).

BLS, ACLS, and Arrhythmia certification required prior to hire.

Minimum one year telemetry experience strongly preferred.

Previous cardiology, critical care, and/or progressive care experience preferred.

In exceptional circumstances, candidates with an ASN/ADN may be considered.
