Facilities Engineer
We are seeking a Facilities Engineer to manage all building systems and services, ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive workplace.
Responsibilities
Oversee and perform the installation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, including HVAC, lighting, and fire protection.
Create and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to optimize equipment uptime and extend asset life.
Lead facility projects from renovations and equipment upgrades to office reconfigurations—managing budgeting, scheduling, and contractor oversight from start to finish.
Maintain full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable building codes. Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and drills.
Solicit bids, negotiate agreements, and oversee vendor and contractor performance to ensure high‑quality, cost‑effective work.
Identify and execute energy‑saving strategies to lower operational costs and advance sustainability efforts.
Act as the primary contact for facility‑related emergencies and maintain all associated response plans and protocols.
Assist with space planning and office relocations to support organizational growth and changing needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
At least 6 years of experience in facilities engineering or a comparable role.
Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience with building automation systems (BAS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative approach.
Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design tools.
Certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Professional Engineer (PE).
