Director of Sales (Medical Device Contract Manufacturing)
We are recruiting a Director of Sales for the medical device contract manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will be selling and have experience selling to Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 medical device manufacturers. Have you sold to Tier 1 and Tier 2 medical device manufacturers that offered a variety of components, subassemblies, and specialized services needed to produce finished medical devices?
Complete systems or major subassemblies are delivered directly to the medical device OEM for final assembly.
Integral components that directly impact the safety and efficacy of the final device (e.g., electronic components for a pacemaker, or the mechanics for an infusion pump).
Contract manufacturing services for the entire device or large portions of it.
Tier 2 Suppliers typically sell:
Custom, device‑specific components that the Tier 1 suppliers use in their assemblies, such as specific brackets, housings, or plastic parts.
Raw materials and processed materials, such as medical‑grade polymers, metals, or textiles, which are then used by Tier 1 manufacturers.
Standard, "off‑the‑shelf" items like generic fasteners (nuts and bolts) or basic connectors.
Electronic Components: Printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) used in monitoring devices, imaging machines, and other electronic medical equipment.
Molded Plastic Parts: High‑volume, custom plastic components for surgical instruments, drug delivery systems, device housings, and lab equipment, often made from medical‑grade polymers.
Machined or Fabricated Metal Parts: Precision metal components for surgical tools, orthopedic implants, and equipment chassis.
Fluid Management Components: Tubing, catheters, pumps, and filters for IV systems, blood transfusion kits, and dialysis machines.
Optical Components: Lenses and sensors for diagnostic tools and imaging equipment.
We are not looking for sales representatives who sell already‑built medical devices. If you have a strong background in medical contract manufacturing and a proven track record in account management,
Our client is a top provider of turnkey manufacturing products and services for medical device OEMs, offering advanced design, molding, and high‑precision assembly throughout the product lifecycle —from concept to commercialization.
