Overview UDR is now hiring a Resident Service Specialist to join our team at 345 Harrison, our apartment community (585 homes) in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities

Coordinate resident service issues and track move‑in satisfaction.

Manage move‑in orientation, review resident feedback within seven days of move‑in.

Scan and upload required move‑in documents into Onesite, oversee pending tasks.

Guide walk‑in traffic, handle walk‑in resident concerns with the Resident Service Manager or Community Director.

Respond to voicemails, texts, emails and other communications within established time guidelines.

Organize incoming packages, work closely with leasing and renewal teams to meet goals, utilize CRM to manage resident relations and service requests.

Walk through move‑in ready apartments to ensure standards prior orientation, walk through amenities daily, address reported deficiencies.

Interact with walk‑in prospects, greet visitors, answer prospects and resident inquiries, prepare reports and documents, perform market summary and comp reports as directed.

Perform Resident Service Manager duties in the absence of the Resident Service Manager and perform other duties as assigned.

Performance Requirements

Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, ability to apply them to solve everyday issues.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions; excellent organizational skills; independent judgment.

Must know and follow Fair Housing laws, demonstrate customer service skills, knowledge of property reporting, filing, fiscal records; detail oriented.

Excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving, decision‑making, verbal and written communication, ability to create, compose, edit written materials, establish priorities and coordinate work activities, collaborate with managers and residents.

Skilled in word processing, drafting correspondence, basic internet experience; proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel). Knowledge of basic office practices and fiscal records filing.

Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Associate degree in business administration or equivalent preferred.

• Minimum two years of office experience required.

• Minimum two years of experience in residential properties, rental operations, hotel or related business operations preferred.

• Valid driver’s license required unless otherwise noted.

Hourly Range $25/hr - $27/hr, depends on experience.
