School Speech Pathologist Assistant - Long Beach, California
A full‑time position is available for a Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to cover a maternity leave at two elementary school sites. This contract role is located in Long Beach, CA, and will run from February 2, 2025, through June 5, 2026, with dates subject to change.
Responsibilities
Provide speech and language services to elementary school students under the supervision of a certified speech‑language pathologist.
Manage a flexible caseload that may change based on school needs.
Collaborate with educators and staff to support student communication goals.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress.
Adhere to all relevant policies and confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications
Active SLPA license required.
Experience working in school settings preferred.
Ability to adapt to schedule and caseload changes.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
