Job Description The team member is responsible for delivering pizzas within a designated area, carrying items, and performing flyer and door hanger deliveries. This role requires standing, walking, sitting, and the use of various tools and equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Standing:

Most tasks are performed from a standing position. Walking surfaces include ceramic tile bricks with linoleum. Height of work surfaces is between 36" and 48".

Walking:

For short distances and durations. Delivery personnel must travel between the store and delivery vehicle and from the delivery vehicle to the customer’s location.

Sitting:

Paperwork is normally completed in an office at a desk or table.

Lifting:

Bulk product deliveries are made twice a week or more. Deliveries may include cases weighing up to 50 pounds. Cases are normally lifted from floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72" high.

Carrying:

Large cans, weighing 3 pounds 7 ounces, are carried to storage shelves. Occasionally, pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds is carried to the front of the store. Trays of pizza dough are carried three at a time, weighing about 12 pounds each. During delivery, pizzas and beverages are carried while walking and climbing duties are performed.

Pushing:

To move trays on dollies. A stack of trays on a dolly is 24"–30" and requires up to 7.5 pounds of force to push. Trays may also be pulled.

Climbing:

Infrequently navigate stairs or a ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, or perform maintenance. During delivery, navigation of five or more flights of stairs may be required.

Stooping/Bending:

Forward bending at the waist is necessary at the pizza assembly station. Workers cannot flex knees while standing here. Duration is 30–45 seconds at a time, repeated throughout the day. Forward bending also occurs at the front counter and when stocking ingredients.

Crouching/Squatting:

Occasional activity to stock shelves or clean low areas.

Reaching:

Continuous reaching up, down, and forward. Workers reach above 72" to operate oven controls, change prices on signs, and move objects to and from shelves. They also reach down to scoop cornmeal from a barrel, wash dishes, and reach forward for topping ingredients, cleaning, or answering phones.

Driving:

Deliver pizzas within a designated area. A team member may make several deliveries per shift.

Machines, Tools, Equipment, Work Aids:

Use pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, a pizza cutter, and a pizza peel.

Driving Specific Job Duties:

Deliver product by car, then to the customer’s door. Deliver flyers and door hangers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.

Access to an insured vehicle used for delivery.
