About the Role: CrowdStrike is seeking an Infrastructure Optimization Engineer to join our Production Systems team focused on identifying and implementing operational improvements across our on‑premises data centers and multi‑cloud environments (AWS, GCP, OCI). In this role, you will analyze infrastructure utilization and resource consumption to surface optimization opportunities, develop automation tooling to support these initiatives, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive efficiency improvements. You'll work with experienced engineers who will provide guidance on complex technical decisions while you take ownership of well‑defined projects and deliverables.

What You’ll Do:

Analyze infrastructure utilization and resource consumption across on-premises and cloud environments to identify optimization opportunities

Utilize monitoring, analysis, and reporting tools to extract insights from infrastructure metrics and performance data

Write scripts and programs for data analysis, automation, and reporting

Collaborate with senior engineers to examine infrastructure metrics, validate findings, and recommend improvements

Develop and maintain documentation of optimization methodologies, findings, and implementation processes

Participate in code reviews and contribute to raising the technical quality of team deliverables

Support the implementation and validation of infrastructure optimization initiatives

Work with cross‑functional teams to understand infrastructure requirements and identify efficiency gains

Participate in on‑call rotation and assist with incident response and troubleshooting

Take ownership of individual contributions with guidance from more senior staff

What You’ll Need:

United States Citizenship OR Permanent Residency is necessary to retain access to resources for this role (NO Clearance necessary)

Solid knowledge of software development and programming (Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages)

Experience with cloud and/or data center infrastructure concepts

Proficiency with data analysis, SQL queries, and analytical methodologies

Ability to write scripts and programs for automation and reporting

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in technical work

Experience with Linux/Unix environments

Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring and observability tools

Understanding of containerization concepts (Docker, Kubernetes)

Experience with version control systems

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must work effectively and professionally with cross‑functional groups as part of a worldwide team

Must be able to work with a distributed team in multiple time zones

Tech Stack / What You’ll Use:

Languages: Python, Go, Bash/Shell scripting

Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), CloudWatch

Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP, OCI

Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes

Version Control: Git, Bitbucket

Management: Chef, Ansible, Puppet

Databases: MySQL, Postgres

Infrastructure: Linux/Unix, bare metal systems, virtualization platforms

Storage Technologies: SAN, NAS, Object Storage

Bonus Points:

Experience with asset management or inventory systems

Multi‑cloud environment experience and cloud administration concepts

Exposure to cybersecurity and infrastructure security best practices

Experience with bare metal provisioning and orchestration

Understanding of networking protocols and concepts

Familiarity with CI/CD systems or automation frameworks

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $90,000 - $125,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
