We are seeking an experienced

DevOps Architect

to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of DevOps architecture supporting mission-critical systems for a government customer. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong communication and leadership skills, requiring the ability to both execute and clearly articulate architectural decisions and emerging technologies to technical and non-technical stakeholders. The DevOps Architect will define and drive DevOps strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient systems across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. Public Trust clearance . Key Responsibilities

Define and implement DevOps architecture and strategy to improve software delivery speed, quality, scalability, and reliability. Design scalable, resilient, and secure systems leveraging CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. Create and maintain DevOps architecture blueprints incorporating best practices and automation across development and operations. Lead the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines to automate the full software development lifecycle (SDLC). Integrate CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Azure DevOps, AWS DevOps, or equivalent platforms. Ensure seamless deployment workflows across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments, including staging and production. Promote and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. Develop automated processes for cloud resource management, including configuration management, server provisioning, and network setup. Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or the ELK Stack. Continuously assess and optimize DevOps environments to ensure performance, reliability, and security. Define DevOps KPIs and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. Architect cloud-based and hybrid solutions supporting agile development and continuous delivery using AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Guide the adoption of cloud-native services for containerization, microservices, and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for DevOps processes, pipelines, and automation scripts. Apply and support effective change management principles throughout system and process improvements. Interact directly with customers, clearly explaining technical work and discussing emerging and upcoming technologies. Lead and mentor engineers in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. Required Technical Skills

Strong expertise in DevOps principles, including automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure management. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, CircleCI, or similar. Extensive experience with containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes. Strong experience designing and implementing DevOps solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and/or ELK Stack. Strong scripting and programming skills using Python, Bash, Ruby, or Go. Solid understanding of DevSecOps and security best practices within DevOps environments. Ability to solve complex system integration challenges and design innovative solutions. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing. Knowledge of cloud-native application design and deployment. Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies. Exposure to AI/ML integration within DevOps pipelines. Relevant certifications, including:

Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of experience in IT architecture or engineering. 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices. Proven experience leading teams or projects and mentoring junior engineers. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to influence stakeholders across teams and communicate effectively with customers. About the Team / Company
