Morgan & Morgan, P.A.
Personal Injury Litigation Attorney
Morgan & Morgan, P.A., Washington, District of Columbia, us, 20022
Full Job Description
At Morgan & Morgan, the work we do matters. For millions of Americans, we’re their last line of defense against insurance companies, large corporations or defective goods. From attorneys in all 50 states, to client support staff, creative marketing to operations teams, every member of our firm has a key role to play in the winning fight for consumer rights. Our over 6,000 employees are all united by one mission: For the People.
Morgan & Morgan is looking for a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join our quickly expanding practice of plaintiff's personal injury lawyers and supporting case staff in our beautiful offices in downtown Washington, DC. The Litigation Attorney will handle motor vehicle liability (MVA) / automobile accident cases, including trial prep, depositions leading to trial, complicated settlements, and in‑court jury and bench trials, representing plaintiff clients in Virginia, DC and/or Maryland.
Other Highlights
Of the $25 billion+ we have recovered on behalf of the people in 1988, we have recouped over $8 billion of this total in the past 2 years alone across all 50 states, Washington DC, and the US Virgin Islands.
We have doubled our national mega‑marketing campaigns from $250M to $500M+ since 2023, making Morgan & Morgan the Number 1 company in the nation for out‑of‑home marketing spend in the nation.
Unlike the vast majority of our competitors, Morgan & Morgan is proud to employ attorneys who can truly call themselves trial attorneys. Last year, we tried 320 cases. In the coming years, we will double that annual number.
Our attorneys are privy to world‑class case docket management software, litigation resources, and a wealth of benefits in service of optimization and case development.
Responsibilities
Day‑to‑day handling of motor vehicle accident cases in Northern Virginia, District of Columbia and/or Maryland.
Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memoranda of law.
Guide plaintiff clients through the case process.
Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits.
Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances on behalf of plaintiffs.
Qualifications
Law degree (J.D. / JD / Juris Doctor) from a fully ABA accredited law school.
An active member in good standing with the bar for the DC, Maryland or Virginia Bar. Virginia preferred.
Ideally 2+ years of PI litigation experience (ideally motor vehicle / automobile liability / MVA).
Ability to manage high volume of litigation cases and take them to trial.
Excellent client service and communication skills.
Superior writing and oral advocacy skills.
