Description The Senior Principal Systems Engineer – R10217100 is located in Linthicum, MD and supports the Tactical Fighters business unit.

Relocation assistance may be available. The role requires a Secret clearance at the time of application, with the offer contingent on the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP). The position is contingent upon the successful transfer of an active DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain SAP.

Roles And Responsibilities

Strong verbal and written communication skills to interface with hardware and software engineers in support of integration and development

Develop test scenarios and perform data analysis in MATLAB

Lead an Agile‑based scrum team, present progress to program management, and manage the work backlog

Collaborate alongside IPT leads to develop systems engineering documentation and product development deliveries

Perform Control Account Management (CAM) duties to manage cost, schedule, and risk through system development

Perform technical planning, verification and validation, and decomposition of customer requirements into technical and functional performance parameters

Support lab and flight testing

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience, master’s degree with 6 years of experience or Ph.D. with 4 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

U.S. Citizenship is required

A current / active DoD Secret Clearance is required

Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)

3 years of experience executing MATLAB scripts

Experience with Agile software development (PI Planning, 2‑week sprint cycles, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience writing and running MATLAB scripts

Experience working on design and development of Electronic Warfare (EW) platforms

Experience with development of aircraft radar surveillance modes

Familiarity with Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) Radar platforms

Familiarity with AESA Radar Tracking algorithms and Tracking architecture

Active SAP Clearance

Standard work schedule is 9/80. Salary range: $135,800.00 – $203,600.00. Compensation may also include overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses. Application period is estimated at 20 days from the posting date.
