THE ROLE: The Operations Sr. Program Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence and enabling scalable growth across the Compute & Enterprise AI (CEAI) organization. You will report to the Chief of Staff in the Compute & Enterprise AI Business Unit and oversee key organizational and workforce needs. This role ensures alignment between business strategy and operational delivery while optimizing workforce planning, financial efficiency, and resource utilization.

She/he is skilled in developing and sustaining positive interpersonal relationships, with a consistent track record of influencing in a matrixed environment. The individual must be results-driven with the ability to make decisions quickly and influence peers and high-level executives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic Operations:

Effectively work across all CEAI functional teams to align organizational operations with business strategy and objectives in support of strategic goals

Oversee processes that support scalable growth and operational efficiency

Develop effective partnerships and work collaboratively with business partners (HR, Fin, Legal, etc.)

Workforce Management:

Lead workforce capacity and capability development including workforce planning, resource management, skill gap analysis and skill inventory, and technical development

Lead hiring processes, including reporting, headcount tracking, requisition release, and regular reviews

Oversee university relations, intern programs and onboarding for new hires

Partner with the team to drive organizational and talent planning, return-to-office initiatives and workforce optimization strategies

Implement project-based accounting processes to establish and maintain governance mechanisms for resource allocation, headcount management, and spend optimization across global sites

Facilities & Real Estate:

Manage lab space allocation and usage across all AMD sites with a CEAI presence

Coordinate real estate oversight & planning, including site budgeting, facilities coordination, employee engagement, and strategic communications specifically for our Met Center and Folsom locations

Compliance & Governance:

Maintain insider trading list, customer-facing certification and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements

Employee Engagement & Recognition: Manage awards programs, including Next 5%, GSA Award Submissions and Server Impact Award

Collaborate with Communications and HR on developing on Teams Talks and Coaching Conversations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Proven experience in organizational operations, workforce planning & compliance

Proactive and execution-focused

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

A track record of creativity and innovation in solutions

Skilled in developing and sustaining positive interpersonal relationships

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Action and results-orientation with the ability to make decisions quickly

Demonstrated technical team/project and program leadership success

Recent and thorough experience in the hi-tech industry; experience in the PC industry is highly desirable

High level of proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and in data manipulation, analysis and presentation

Undergraduate degree required, PMP preferred
