Position Overview The
Fund Accounting Manager
will oversee a wide range of accounting and financial responsibilities as well as special projects across private equity funds, open‑ended hedge funds, and separately managed accounts. In addition to core fund accounting, this role will be instrumental in driving operational efficiency through process improvements and technology‑enabled solutions.
This individual will lead initiatives to streamline recurring workflows, enhance reporting accuracy, and implement automation for scalability. The Fund Accounting Manager will also collaborate closely with corporate accounting, investors, external auditors, and tax service providers in a highly team‑oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily, monthly, and quarterly fund accounting activities across multiple investment structures.
Lead initiatives to improve accounting processes, reporting quality, and operational efficiency.
Partner with senior leadership to design and implement scalable, technology‑enabled solutions.
Coordinate deliverables with external auditors, tax service providers, and internal stakeholders.
Support cross‑functional projects and contribute to broader strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred .
Minimum
5 years of experience
in public accounting and/or fund accounting (public or industry).
Background or strong interest in
Private Equity, Hedge Funds, or Alternative Investments .
Advanced Excel skills, including macros, queries, and automation tools, with a desire to continue building technical expertise.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Entrepreneurial mindset with high motivation, integrity, and attention to detail.
Strong technical acumen and passion for driving process improvements.
