Job Summary The Senior SQA Engineer who is self-driven, high energy, and eager to learn and grow. This position requires system testing expertise and UI automation. This position is located in our Marlborough, MA headquarters reporting to the Senior Software QA Manager.
Essential Job Functions
Perform System Testing, Regression Testing, Functional Testing
Publish tests and test results using a TestRail
Test Plan Development / Builds, Test Case Development / Execution
Defect Tracking / Reporting / Verification
Participate in Product Design / Feature Meetings
Test Environments: Identify / Setup / Configure / Maintain
Develop testing frameworks and test suites/cases
Function with minimal supervision
Travel requirement: less than 5%
Responsible for working with development and project managers to assist in technical decision making
Ensure cross product implementation consistency
Work with product teams on solutions
Education Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
Required Experience
5-7 years of experience in SQA or product qualification with Bachelor’s degree; or 3-5 years of experience in SQA or product qualification with Master’s degree.
Excellent knowledge of Python and Pytest.
Ability to write automated tests for both UI and API.
Experience in Webservices testing.
Experience in building and maintaining automated test frameworks based on tools such as Selenium or Playwright.
Experience in database testing.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
Experience in testing Microservices based architecture.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Basic Understanding of Object‑Oriented Programming concepts.
Project skills, including planning, estimation of effort.
Proven track record of proactively working with SQA and development teams.
Passion for assuring product quality.
Ability to express ideas clearly in written and oral communications.
Ability to assess new technologies and test implementations.
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
Experience with Azure DevOps.
Experience with Playwright.
Experience with gRPC API testing.
Experience working with Atlassian Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket products.
Some experience or the desire to learn about utility power systems.
Strong communication skills that interweave presentation skills with the problem‑solving process.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Well‑developed technical writing skills.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must understand and promote best practices regarding SQA methodologies.
Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co‑workers, and customers. Salary Information Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job‑related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.
Salary Pay Range: Minimum $106,522.87 - Midpoint $133,153.59.
