Global Transparency Senior Director

to coordinate Oceana’s current work on expanding transparency in fisheries management, at-sea accountability, and market state powers and import controls. The Senior Director will develop a global agenda for Oceana that guides our fundraising and communications efforts and supports in-country campaigns to advance our shared agenda. This role will operate across three different areas: Oceana’s global transparency work, US transparency campaigns, and the Coalition for Fisheries Transparency.

The successful candidate will bring 13 years of progressively complex professional experience including at least 5 years of management experience. The Senior Director will report to the Vice President of Oceana in the United States. The position requires flexibility to work in varied time zones and is based out of one of the Oceana offices, preferably in Washington, DC. Some travel is required. This is a full-time, exempt position.

This is a two-year position with the possibility of extension based on additional funding.

Salary range: $140 – 155K annually.

Oceana’s U.S. offices have operated on a hybrid schedule and staff have been required to work from their assigned office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. With agreement between the employee and their supervisor, the employee may work remotely Monday and Friday.
