DoE Position Overview

We are seeking two compassionate and dedicated

Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselors (CASACs)

to join our outpatient treatment center. The CASAC will work directly with individuals experiencing substance use disorders, providing assessments, counseling, treatment planning, and ongoing support in a client-centered, recovery-focused environment. The ideal candidates bring strong clinical skills, a deep understanding of addiction and recovery challenges, and a commitment to helping clients work toward long-term stability. At least 3+ years of direct service experience is preferred. Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive substance use assessments and screenings

Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with client needs and recovery goals

Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based practices

Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress notes, and treatment records

Facilitate psychoeducational groups and support interventions

Monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate

Collaborate with clinical team members and external providers to coordinate care

Provide crisis intervention and safety planning when necessary

Support clients in accessing additional community resources and services

Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and required trainings

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

Active CASAC credential (required)

Minimum 3 years of direct service experience in addiction counseling (preferred)

Strong assessment, counseling, and documentation skills

Knowledge of substance use disorders, recovery models, and co-occurring conditions

Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a clinical team
