Markley Group
The Senior Electrical Engineer will work with the construction team in the design and construction of mission‑critical data center environments. Responsible for coordination of electrical designs with consulting team(s) and supporting electrical subcontractors during construction. Support the design efforts to create and implement building masterplans for Markley facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Aid in creation of electrical standards including master specifications for data center
Work with design consultants and operations teams to plan and implement new infrastructure and tenant
Provide engineering support for electrical contractors during construction
Provide engineering/troubleshooting support for operation
Aid in creation of electrical and EPMS systems masterplan built for high level reliability and maximization of colocation data
Implement energy efficiency strategies for electrical systems
Provide support for commissioning process
Work with Sales teams to respond to RFPs and site assessments as needed
Aid in electrical layouts for colocation tenant install
Utilize building EPMS to track and report building loading and PUE
Travel to perform factory witness testing for major equipment purchases as needed
Responsible for information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Markley Group information assets in accordance with the company's information security program
Qualifications and Skills
5-7 years’ experience in critical systems design & engineering
PE license preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience with Electrical Systems Design and Installation (MV Switchgear, Distribution equipment, diesel generator, UPS, etc).
Mission Critical Data Center or other related design experience required. Familiar with EPMS architectural and design
Proficient in Computer software’s including but not limited to AutoCAD, REVIT, SKM, ETAP, Microsoft Office 365, Procore, MS Project
Excellent oral and written communication, including proficiency in both technical and business writing, is required.
Ability to work in both Boston and Lowell facilities.
