Your Opportunity The role of Project Engineer is to work collaboratively and interdependently and as a team member on a wide range of Community Development projects under the guidance of a Project Manager. Our Community Development team also works with and support projects from other disciplines in the local area and is part of a team that works on projects across the western US. A Civil Project Engineer will perform a variety of tasks which may include design analysis, calculations, preparation of exhibits, mentoring jr. staff, and preparation of construction documents. The projects that you will be assigned to may be broad, varied, and diverse in scope.

Your Key Responsibilities

Serve as the technical lead for the project team responsible for preparing, grading, drainage, wet utility, street improvements, and other civil engineering design documents, as well as hydrology/hydraulic storm water modeling and hydraulic modeling of pipe networks.

Prepare and revise documentation for various project phases from feasibility analysis to construction close out.

Coordinate with geomatics team and obtain appropriate record data required to assemble complete and accurate base information

Prepare concept design alternatives considering site constraints and project objectives to evolve the project layout

Prepare three-dimensional models of civil systems and provide markups / direction for other project team engineers/designers.

Participate in coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, subcontractors, and vendors.

Prepare construction quantity estimates and basic opinion of cost analysis.

Assist with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.

Lead the preparation and coordination of project specifications and construction documents.

Participate in constructability review.

Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects.

Lead effort for processing project documentation to approval and permit availability

Work with team to prioritize workload and schedule on multiple projects.
