Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring FL or compact RN license, PCU and ICU experience, and night shift availability.
Responsibilities Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a short-term acute care teaching hospital Care for adult patients requiring intermediate level monitoring Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 Floating required to three facilities within a 20-mile radius Uses EPIC charting system Required to be familiar with cardiac drips First-time travelers are welcome to apply All time-off requests must be submitted up front; additional requests will not be approved White scrubs required for this position Free parking available in unrestricted spaces Orientation includes required EKG and Pharm testing with study materials provided Permanent and per diem staff may not return to the same health system for one year after prior assignment Nicotine use is strictly prohibited and compliance is verified prior to placement
Requirements Active FL or compact RN license Minimum 2 years of PCU experience and ICU experience required Certifications required: AHA BLS and ACLS at time of consideration, NIHSS before start Epic EMR proficiency at level 3 or 4 required Must be nicotine free with negative 10 Panel + Cotinine drug screen required within 12 months of start Two supervisory references required for consideration Must pass EKG and Pharm tests during orientation with only two attempts allowed No pending certifications accepted
