Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer will lead daily efforts in improving machining processes and production efficiency. You will review and optimize work holding and fixturing for CNC operations, monitor dimensional results to identify trends, and recommend adjustments to maintain quality. You will design clear workflows and process instructions, coordinate with programming, quality, and operations teams to resolve issues and implement improvements, and manage design changes from review to documentation. Additionally, you will troubleshoot equipment, support maintenance, guide technicians, and ensure projects progress smoothly from concept to completion. You will also prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and drive corrective actions across the team.
Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to improve machining processes and production efficiency.

Essential Skills
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- Experience in process improvements.
- Proficiency in Solidworks for opening files, measuring, and sketching ideas.
- Knowledge of GD&T and CMM reports.
- CNC knowledge with experience in 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines working with materials such as aluminum, steel, cast, extruded, structural, and plate.
- Understanding of quality standards, preferably ISO or AS.
- Program management skills.
- Product launch experience.
- Proficiency in MS Project.
- Experience in CNC programming, welding, and fabrication.

Work Environment
This is an onsite role with standard hours around 40 hours per week. The position is within a mixed industry manufacturing environment, primarily automotive and aerospace. You will work with a small engineering team and have significant independence to solve problems and create efficiencies in the current manufacturing process.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marion, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00/hr.
