Infineon’s business Manufacturing manager is responsible for all business aspects related to sourced power module components including but not limited to substrates, capacitors, inductors, resistors, heatsinks, connectors or headers. The BMM works with vendors to ensure all components meet product line requirements for cost, delivery/supply and quality.
Responsibilities Vendor Development/Management – Develop partnerships and negotiate long term contracts for supply and cost
Vendor Development/Management – Facilitate executive relationships between Infineon and vendors
Vendor Development/Management – Drive technical roadmap exchange
Vendor Development/Management – Develop an Approved Vendor List for all vendor supplied components and drive AVL usage within the engineering organization
Vendor Development/Management – Facilitate negotiation between Infineon and suppliers to set expectations and resolve business difficulties
Vendor Development/Management – Drive social and environmental responsibility with Infineon’s vendor base including ensuring that vendors adhere to standards consistent with Infineon’s ethics, as well as implementing sustainable practices throughout the supply chain
Cost – Drive quotations for samples
Cost – Negotiate NRE and tooling
Cost – Provide cost information to PJO/PJM
Cost – Develop second source vendors for all component and utilize competition to drive down cost
Cost – Drive cost reduction activities among vendors and facilitate activities with component engineering to drive down module cost
Cost – Work with component engineering to standardize component specifications to create manufacturing efficiencies
Delivery – Set samples delivery and expectations
Delivery – Resolve priority issues for sample delivery
Delivery – Coordinate pull-ins
Delivery – Escalate issue resolution, engage component engineering to drive closure
Delivery – Coordinate transition from development to production
Delivery – Coordinate vendor capacity and scaling capabilities
Delivery – Assess vendor manufacturing readiness and manage risk assessment for project management including: identifying potential risks, developing mitigation strategies, implementing contingency plans.
Quality – Run vendor factory audits
Quality – Drive root cause investigation on quality issues, engage component engineering where necessary
Quality – Develop a scorecard for vendors, poll internal stakeholders to assess vendors based on roadmap, delivery, cost, quality
Quality – Run annual scorecard reviews with strategic vendors
Quality – Drive improvements within the vendor organization
Quality – Create quarterly report which includes: Top 10 vendors by spend, Top issues by vendor, Top production/manufacturability issues and recommendations for improvement, Vendor trends and areas of improvement
Quality – Develop metrics for assessing supplier quality and overall performance
Your Profile Business degree required, experience in international business preferred
Significant experience in vendor management, power components preferred
Good negotiation skills
Strong communication – able to hold an executive presence
Willingness to travel >50% of the time
Strong background in component management
Project management skills
Leadership skills to influence teams to follow good manufacturing practices

Wage range that the company expects to pay for a qualified candidate: San Jose, CA $140,700-$193,500; El Segundo, CA $128,200-$176,200. In addition, all full-time employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
