Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director - Athens, OH
Pediatrix is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director to lead our esteemed healthcare team at a leading medical facility in Athens, OH.
Job Responsibilities:- Lead a team of 3 Pediatric Hospitalists.
- Provide newborn nursery care with NICU support from Neonatologists.
- Manage 24/7 on-call coverage using a round-and-go model with call from home.
- Perform circumcisions as part of the Pediatric Hospitalist role.
- Offer expert Pediatric consultations to the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate closely with Pediatric Hospitalists and Neonatologists for coordinated patient care.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and clinical research.
- Engage in knowledge exchange with a broad network of Pediatrix providers.
- Not accepting Locums candidates.
- Not accepting visa candidates.
- Not open to commuters or those seeking secondary employment.
- Experience required; not accepting new graduate candidates.
- Board Certified in Pediatrics.
- Active Ohio medical license (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience in leadership roles preferred.
- DEA certification must be obtained prior to start.
- Board Certified in Pediatrics - REQUIRED
- Ohio license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
- DEA registration (no exemptions) - REQUIRED
