Civil Engineer - EIT, Aviation

Key Responsibilities
- Apply civil engineering principles to design and specify airside facilities (runways, taxiways, aprons) and landside infrastructure (roads, storm‑water systems, general site development).
- Conduct engineering calculations, produce project documents, and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date design drawings.
- Participate in client, contractor, and stakeholder meetings to interpret project objectives and deliver solutions.
- Provide on‑site quality assurance as a resident engineer, reporting progress, quantity tracking, and HSSE compliance during construction.
- Create and deliver presentations to federal, state, and local aviation authorities at design milestones.
- Travel within the Northeast region as needed for collaboration.
Capabilities and Credentials
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related aviation software (AutoTurn, AviPlan, HydroCAD).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Valid Driver’s License and capacity to travel and work on remote construction sites.
- OSHA‑10 certification is desirable.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Survey Engineering Technology, or Construction Engineering (ABET‑accredited).
- Engineering Intern Certification (FER) with a goal of obtaining full professional licensure.
- Minimum 3 years of early‑career experience in engineering consulting or construction environments.
