Overview
Deployment and Monitoring Engineer (Canary) at mroads. This is a remote opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute test strategies for canary deployments and production rollout validation.
- Build and maintain end-to-end automated test suites to validate functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Partner with DevOps, SRE, and development teams to integrate QA checks into CI/CD pipelines.
- Utilize Dynatrace telemetry and monitoring tools to detect anomalies, regressions, and performance degradation.
- Define and enforce rollback validation criteria to ensure quick recovery from failures.
- Lead root cause analysis for production issues and drive continuous improvements in release quality.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices for testing in modern deployment environments.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with strong expertise in automation and production testing.
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment validation in cloud-native environments.
- Experience working with Dynatrace or similar APM tools (New Relic, AppDynamics, Grafana, Splunk).
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills, with experience in failure detection and rollback validation.
Nice to Have
- Experience with canary deployments, blue-green deployments, or feature flag strategies.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with performance/load testing tools (JMeter, NeoLoad, Gatling).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
