Job Title : Senior AV Field Engineer

Location : Washington, DC area (company vehicle provided)

Duration : Permanent, Direct Hire

Salary Range : $110-115,000 (or higher/negotiable based on experience)

**Will be provided a DoD security clearance**

Summary :

The Senior AV Field Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality onsite service, maintenance, and technical support for audiovisual systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This role involves reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints, performing preventive maintenance, repairing and installing AV equipment, and providing programming and troubleshooting for control systems such as AMX and Crestron.

Responsibilities :

• Read, write, and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.

• Perform preventative maintenance visits to ensure stable client-based systems.

• Repair ceiling- and wall-mounted speaker systems, projectors, and screen support structures.

• Handle equipment delivery and related responsibilities for assigned projects.

• Accurately complete job documentation and service reports.

• Install, upload, and download control programs (AMX, Crestron, firmware) in the field.

• Support control program troubleshooting and minor edits with the aid of programmers.

• Provide field service for networked devices (routers, IP protocols, etc.).

• Complete service tasks such as cable pulling, connector installation, projector mounting, and ceiling mount installations.

• Adhere to OSHA standards and safety protocols for all job phases.

• Demonstrate leadership on-site and mentor junior service technicians.

• Deliver client end-user training and technical support as needed.

• Act as the customer liaison for service contracts and calls.

• Support small projects team as required to meet customer needs.

• Perform maintenance of projection and display products.

• Travel to various job sites as needed.

Qualifications :

• 7-10+ years of audiovisual integration experience preferred.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; formal electronics or related field education preferred.
