Overview
Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. invites qualified candidates to join the Global CAD team within the Engineering Group. The role focuses on Signoff Timing and spice simulation with CAD development to define and develop tools and methodologies for accuracy, compute, in collaboration with Snapdragon Physical Design and Timing teams. This position involves working with leading-edge internal and EDA technologies in the Signoff domain, including groundwork in genAI/ML, and enabling a hierarchical solution and latest STA features to reduce conservatism in Signoff.
Responsibilities
- Improve the Timing and Cell Characterization methodology for diverse Mobile, Compute, AI, IoT Snapdragon chips.
- Enable and validate new cell characterization methodologies and features through spice correlation and CAD development. Collaborate with AI team on compute enhancements and turnaround time reduction.
- Correlate STA tools with spice and perform version-to-version validation.
- Provide solutions to Snapdragon design teams by analyzing requests and addressing them via ticket queues.
- Interface with EDA vendors to enable production-ready tool sets that satisfy project requirements.
- Set up, augment, and maintain regression for complex STA designs.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Maths minor is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of STA features and Timing concepts.
- 2-6 years of experience in Signoff Timing of SoCs at either top-level or block-level.
- 2-6 years of experience with scripting tools and programming languages: Python and TCL preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.

Pay and Benefits
Pay range: $98,500.00 - $147,700.00
The pay scale reflects the broad minimum to maximum for this job code/location. Salary is only one component of total compensation, which may include an annual discretionary bonus program and RSU grants.
