Associate Engineer
for a consulting engagement with our client, a leading global biopharmaceutical company. Job Description:
This position reports to the Packaging Engineering group under Combination Product Operations in Thousand Oaks, CA. The role involves applying engineering principles to design, qualify, and implement primary and secondary packaging components, along with related documentation, equipment, and processes. Knowledge of packaging systems and material science is essential. The candidate should possess organizational, project management, technical problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work in teams and adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Skills:
AutoCAD, Modeling (2D, 3D), SolidWorks, MATLAB, Microsoft Office, PCBs. Key Responsibilities:
Support testing and evaluation for packaging materials. Familiarity with material testing standards and equipment. Write test protocols, perform evaluations, and prepare reports justifying material choices. Develop technical specifications, engineering drawings, and artwork templates. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Illustrator, or similar software for engineering drawings. Support line trials and validation activities for new or changed components/processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Device Engineering, Supply Chain, Artwork, Manufacturing, Regulatory) in pre-commercial and commercial activities. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Life Sciences. 0 to 3 years of general packaging/engineering experience. Demonstrated Competencies/Skills:
Independent thinker with teamwork or leadership experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Position Rationale:
Staff augmentation. Top Must-Have Skills:
Bachelor's in Packaging, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering. New graduates with 0-3 years experience considered. Highly preferred: Packaging Engineering experience. Employee Value Proposition:
