Base Pay Range $18.00/hr - $25.00/hr About the Role Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility in Greenwich CT, 06830. This is a 3-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity, and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Location The person has to be available to cover any of their sites between 6a-6p (Greenwich, CT, 06830) Duration 3 Months+ initially Pay Rate $18-$25 per hour (40 hrs/week) Schedule 8 am-5 pm Monday to Friday Responsibilities Experience doing blood draws, labelling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information. Collect and store specimens in accordance with established procedures. Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and/or other specimen collection (e.g., urine or fecal) as required. Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. Fully understand all of the physicians' orders. Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order. Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correctness. Package specimens for transport. Store specimens at the required temperature and place them appropriately. Qualifications A High School Diploma or GED is required. A minimum of 3-5 years of phlebotomy experience is required.
