Job Description
Full time contract position. Shift: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm Central Time Zone. Location: MN_AKEI_9300 Noble Pkwy N, Brooklyn Park MN 55443 (Onsite). Duration: 3 months.
Responsibilities
Serve as the face of the company to patients, performing patient intake, explaining procedures, and drawing blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately.
Collect high‑quality blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing in accordance with established practices and procedures.
Maintain an atmosphere of trust and confidence, explaining procedures and answering patient questions.
Demonstrate leadership behaviors, focus on process excellence, and respect patient confidentiality and accuracy of information.
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
Maintain a safe and professional environment at all times.
Carry out forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established procedures.
Verify patient demographic information and initials, obtain patient signature after venipuncture, and ensure correct labeling of tubes.
Maintain required records and documentation.
Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements
Provide quality, error‑free work in a fast‑paced environment.
Work independently with minimal on‑site supervision.
Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on‑call, and overtime.
Committed to all policies and procedures (dress code, health & safety, Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles).
Make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
Have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
Cover multiple locations and work at Patient Service Center/In‑Office sites with minimal notice.
Handle multiple priorities in a high‑volume setting.
Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience
Three years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
Keyboard/data entry experience.
Additional Job Details
Closing shift.
Phlebotomy plus point‑of‑care testing on site.
9 am – 5:30 pm daily hours Monday‑Friday.
Credentialing
MMR, Varicella, Tdap, TB Testing, COVID, and Flu.
Pay Range and Benefits
Pay Range: $21.00 – $25.00 per hour. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on factors such as education, work experience, location, specific duties, certifications, etc.
