Physician Assistant
Acadia Dermatology is a leading dermatology practice located in Ellsworth, Maine. Acadia Dermatology is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care while staying at the forefront of dermatologic advancements. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Dermatology Physician Assistant/Associate to join our team.
As a Physician Assistant/Associate, you play a direct role in saving and improving the lives of our patients each day. You will work alongside our experienced dermatologist to diagnose and treat a wide range of dermatological conditions, provide patient education, and assist in performing various dermatological procedures.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments.
Perform diagnostic tests and procedures related to dermatological conditions.
Develop treatment plans and collaborate with supervising dermatologists.
Educate patients about skincare, treatment options, and preventive measures.
Document patient interactions, medical history, and treatment plans accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Assist in surgical procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and minor surgeries.
Provide post-operative care and follow-up to monitor patient progress.
Stay current with dermatology trends, treatments, and research.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the highest quality patient care.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Adhere to all legal and ethical standards of care.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate program.
Current state licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant/Associate.
Prior experience in dermatology
Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Commitment to delivering compassionate patient care.
Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new dermatological advancements.
